Harford, CT’s Sorority Noise have signed with Topshelf Records. The band is currently self-producing their follow up to last year’s Broken World Media debut LP, ‘Forgettable‘, with plans to release it later this year.

Front man Cameron Boucher says, “I first met Kevin at a house show in Allston in the summer of 2012 and left the show with a demo CD of one of my bands new records in my back pocket because I got to scared to give it to him. Topshelf has always been a label I’ve wanted to work with and we’re all super excited to be able to work with them for this new record. We’ve been hard at work in the studio making this record the best it possibly can be. The new LP is definitely a step towards a mature direction for Sorority Noise and were stoked to work with them to put it out!”

The band has toured with the likes of Modern Baseball and The Hotelier, and will play shows with You Blew It!, Tiny Moving Parts and Rozwell Kid starting Feb 19. See dates below.

Sorority Noise’s most recent releases include splits with Philly’s Radiator Hospital and Boston’s Somos.

Praise for Sorority Noise:

“…charming…down-on-your-luck soft punk songs…borders on power-pop, borrowing just as heavily from early Brand New as it does from Weezer.”-Stereogum

“a fuzzy, familiar blend of indie, emo and punk with tongue-in-cheek lyrics…”-Fuse TV

“…a strikingly confident dispatch of melodic punk, a gloriously nervous, ceaselessly inventive twenty minutes of emo-pop patchwork.”- Half Cloth

“…a force to be reckoned with, another name on the growing list of great punk groups emerging from the New England community.”- Mind Equals Blown

“While Cam Boucher may be best known for his work in the screamo/post-hardcore band Old Gray, ‘Forgettable’ is full of painful self-realizations packaged with fun and raucous indie rock jams.”- Absolutepunk
