Gnarwolves absolutely smashed their 2000 Trees warm up last year at The Victoria in Swindon, and once again they return to the same venue to wreck havoc on the Swindon scene.
Tight, brisk 2 minute, literature infused “gruff punk” is their pigeon-holed sound – which you will already know whether you’re a fan or not. Last year they released the self titled début album, played festivals including Truck Festival, 2000 Trees, Reading & Leeds *main stage*, toured the US multiple times with the likes of Modern Baseball, The Wonder Years, The Story So Far, Blink 182 and Anti-Flag, and have just come off an extensive European tour – British bands do not come more exciting than this right now.
Opening the show will be one of Swindon’s newest Pop Punk bands, AS THE SUN SLEEPS – https://asthesunsleeps.bandcamp.com/
Their saccharine pop the perfect foil to both the head liners Gruff approach and the hardcore of the tour support. Let’s face it, no fan wants to be screamed at all night, so this is us addressing the balance, whilst supporting the local scene.
If you don’t know As The Sun Sleeps, they have a bit of history. Their drummer also drums in Antoinette and formally The Dead Lay Waiting. So certainly will be familiar to some.
