INTRODUCING: MATILDAZ – Power Bass and Drums Emerging From London
Single ‘Cupboard Love’ released Monday 2nd March
Like parting the seas, MATILDAZ separate the deep, brooding waters of growling bass and thunderous drums to allow a journey of Afro-tribal influenced vocals to make safe passage between walls of sound. With mastery of their musical elements, the London duo allow the walls to come crashing down, creating a devastatingly powerful collision of post-punk and blues-rock.
Due for release on Monday 2nd March, MATILDAZ new single “Cupboard Love” captures the epic battle of control and chaos in a sound that has been grabbing audiences by the horns throughout 2014. The single was recorded at the Tunbridge Wells Forum, a previous winner of Britain’s Best Small Venue in the NME Awards.
The single follows festival appearances at Eden, Green Man, Wilderness and End of The Road. Championed by BBC6 Music’s Tom Robinson (After Hours and BBC Introducing), MATILDAZ show no signs of slowing down, with a set of dates for 2015 announced including supports for The Crazy World of Arthur Brown and Kyshera.
“Cupboard Love” is released Monday 2nd March 2015. Check out the video here:
