Introducing Bloodflower – ‘People- Places’ Single Release Special

January 19, 2015

Bloodflower announce stunning new single People – Places out on Jan 26th

Bloodflower are delighted to announce People – Places, the lead track from their forthcoming Noise EP, as the long awaited follow up to their acclaimed 2013 introduction tracks ‘Indigo’ and ‘Horizon’.

Bloodflower is a collaboration between two long-term friends; artist, Jonnie Owen and producer, Tom Manning. The duo entered Monnow Valley Studios (Manic Street Preachers, Spiritualized, Portishead) to work on a few ideas together. What started out as a creative experiment has progressed into a long-term musical partnership, bolstered by the full live band setup, bloodflower’s choice live performances included a live debut at SWN Festival and follow up spring festivals Liverpool Sound City, Focus Wales and Are You Listening? before spending the rest of the year writing and recording.

Bloodflower are an intricate act which deserve your attention. The duo have cultivated the perfect minimal electro sound with hints of that 80s new wave yet fused with a more modern atmospherical touch. We predict great things for this talented, driven act.

Their previous singles ‘Indigo’ and ‘Horizon’ have received early acclaim from the likes of Huw Stephens & Jen Long/Ally McCrae on BBC Radio 1, John Kennedy on XFM, Chris Hawkins on BBC Radio 6, Jim Gellatly & Shell Zenner on Amazing Radio, Q Radio, Music Week, the405, Artrocker and D.i.S.

The Noise EP will follow early this spring.

‘Really rather good, this doesn’t sound like anything else coming out of Wales.’ John Kennedy, XFM

“Sounding incredible…..just sounds really different, really interesting” Jen Long, BBC Radio 1

“So good!” Huw Stephens, BBC Radio 1

“Imagine a robotic Black Keys scoring a soundtrack to Blade Runner.” Music Week

“Well on their way to making a real name for themselves.” Artrocker

‘People / Places’ is available to buy worldwide on 26th January. You can stream and download it from the following places: iTunes, Spotify, Google Play,, WIMP, Deezer and Rhapsody.
