Electro pop act From Kid are proud to present their infectious new single ‘Come In’, due to be released on 12th January via Sonic Service and distributed by Sony Music Entertainment.
Created within the confines of an old farmhouse in Switzerland, Andrin Berchtold and Gian Reto Camenisch blend graceful harmonies with inviting synthesizers in ‘Come In’. The duo take inspiration from their travels and their excursions through nature, recreating the atmosphere of a full-moon night.
A track that demonstrates perfectly the band’s talent for creating gorgeous pop with an undeniable charm, it’s reminiscent of both the Wild Beasts’ 2014 LP ‘Present Tense’, and The Postal Service. Indeed, Killing Moon saw it fit to compare the band to Ben Gibbard’s music as they deemed it “a brilliant soundclash between Death Cab For Cutie and Dry The River.” The single manages to be playful and melancholic in equal measure, with the duo excelling in the delicate art of creating pop music with soul.

Since their previously released track ‘Colors’ charted on the Hype Machine, support and adoration for this band has only grown, opening doors that have led to them supporting John Newman at Club XTRA in Zurich, as well as playing shows at the Open Air St. Gallen, the Sound of the Forest Festival in Germany and the Les Trois Baudets in Paris. Their live credentials are displayed in the accompanying video for ‘Colors’, which sees their vibrant, warm music fill the empty, cold space they inhabit.
The single is an exciting introduction to their highly anticipated debut album, ‘You Can Have All The Wonders’, which arrives in time for an extensive tour of Switzerland and Germany in late January 2015. With their compelling pop sound and organic creative ethos, From Kid are a band undoubtedly destined for great things in the New Year.
