DMAʼS Taking 2015 By Storm

“[Laced] lifts off at the chorus with a cloudburst of chords and harmonies… they could go mega.”
“Boasts that Mancunian spirit, but blends it with an Antipodean sheen of fizzing garage-pop”
“there’s a sweetness to DMA’s melodies that is distinctly individual.”
“Let’s face it, Lee Mavers is never making another album, so its just as well that DMA’s exist.”

An unsigned band, currently receiving unprecedented daytime radio play, Australian likely lads DMA’s have UK record labels licking their lips.  Current single Laced is a frenzy of impulsive indie pop, picking up repeat plays from Zane Lowe, Fearne Cotton and XFM, promising the return of big songs and bold guitars for 2015.

With a rattling rhythm section and chiming guitars, DMA’s are held together in shambling brilliance b juggernaut melodies. Available on Partisan Records, Laced makes up their double A side single with So We Know out now
If Laced is headlong into its schooners on a Friday night, then So We Know is the crack-of-dawn swagger of the hazy ʻmorning after the night beforeʼ. DMAʼs write ‘proper’s songs, all cracked vocals and burnished melodies, delivered with the honesty of the fallen and skewered by their own fallibility.

Tommy, Mason and Johnny, are three friends from Newtown, on the fringes of south Sydney. Since releasing their debut single Delete in February, theyʼve been selling tickets by the bucket load Down Under, performed to a packed GW McLennan Tent at Splendour in the Grass and been championed in the UK by the NME. Empowered by the carpe diem spirit of rockʼnʼroll, DMAʼs are Australiaʼs unlikely lads.
