“Make a difference not a fortune” (Richard Watson – promoter)
Leeds based 360 Club is well renowned for unsigned showcase nights, every week at The Library, which champion exciting emerging artists, and has discovered such acts as Alt-J, Allusondrugs and Carnabells, and they will again be taking part in this year’s IVW and programming two shows featuring high quality emerging acts that are all being currently tipped to be the next big thing.
Independent Venue week celebrates the small music venues around the UK and of the people that run them. These venues are the backbone of live music scene in the UK and they give young, emerging artists the opportunity to play in front of a live audience and to gain the confidence and experience which they require playing on the larger stages. Taking place at the end of January and funded by Arts Council England Independent Venue Week creates a nationwide series of exciting gigs combining artists, labels, promoters and bloggers.
Friday 30th January – In association with Clue Records – Line-up as follows:
A noisy and exciting 3-piece band from West Yorkshire signed to Clue Records, they blend 90s Seattle grunge alongside 00s British Indie. The band is signed to Clue Records and has had an extremely exciting year playing shows at Leeds and Reading festivals and the buzz their recent release ‘Yasimin’ has gained across the music press. Forever Cult seem to have a limitless energy on stage rivaling that of Palma Violets or Imagine Dragons.
“The three-piece inhabit the sludgier end of the grunge spectrum with frontman Kieran working between a mellow slacker drawl up to Taz-esque levels of vocal turmoil.” – Drowned In Sound
”…a clattering, visceral affair that shares an urgency with Leeds-based peers Eagulls and perhaps even an appreciation of noise similar to Hookworms.” – Artrocker
Their latest double A-Side single ‘Yasmin/OceanOceanOcean’ http://youtu.be/dnzGcYlquFQ is available via Clue Records, https://cluerecords.bandcamp.com/album/yasmin-oceanoceanocean
“A sound that could dominate the world!” – Sonic Shocks Magazine “Just Brilliant!” – Amazing Radio
Sonically taking their cue from the hard rock of Alice in Chains, with the psychedelia of early Soundgarden and Pearl Jam records mixed with The Melvins, Biffy Clyro and all wrapped up in a wall of sound.
After spending the majority of 2014 ‘causing a mini-earthquake within the Leeds music scene’ (Vibrations Magazine) with relentless live performances and the release of their single ‘Your Suit’, they return to 360 Club.
“One hell of an act… My new favorite band!” – Alan Raw, BBC Introducing

The track is available as a free download along with B-side ‘Bridge’.
That has seen NARCS pick up plaudits and airplay both locally & nationally, notably from Steve Lamacq & Tom Robinson on BBC 6 Music.
“NARCS’ wiry and brash rock and roll is fuelled by equal parts frustration, resentment, and a general desire to just make a lot of noise” – Drowned In Sound
An energy filled 3-piece post-hardcore band formed in 2013 that is sure to simulate the crowd at any show. Their unique and melodic songs build up from minimal haunts to ferocious burst of energy, the bands instrumental sound comes with surprise vocal sections which they almost always sing together with passion and energy.
‘a hardcore sound and the addition of a Northern twist, they evoked perhaps a heavier Biffy Clyro, with a touch of My Bloody Valentine. Notable was the not-so-distinct lack of a bassist, an unorthodox approach which meant for more focused and precise guitar work. Their melodic and relatively minimal, almost ethereal choruses were framed by strong riffs’ – Leeds Music Scene

The ethos has always and will always be the same, giving new, undiscovered talent to opportunity to play live, promoting a wide variety of sounds booking similarly styled acts to play on the same nights. The 360 has produced bands such Alt-J, Allusondrugs, Carnabells and Forever Cult. This names only a few of the bands that have prospered from playing the venue. Nathan Clark manager of the infamous ‘Brudenell Social Club’ said “360 Club is one of those nights that bands have to be seen to have played.”
“It would be easy to book high profile acts for IVW with the large amount of media coverage it gets but I wanted to stick firmly with my ethos of championing exciting new and emerging local talent and let them benefit from the media attention they will get from playing, and these two gigs feature some of the most exciting and also my favorite local acts” (Richard Watson)
