Fred Perry Subculture premieres video for ‘My Mistake’ by upcoming popstar, Nina‏

December 11, 2014
NINA is set to release the video for her single My Mistake, a brilliant leftfield pop track out through Aztec Records.

Originally from Berlin, NINA released We Are The Wild Ones back in November 2013, garnering her great media attention, describing her as a ‘Lana Del Rey meets Robyn’.With My Mistake, Nina continues her musical journey in the realms of dream pop and cool electronica. Teaming up again with songwriting duo Hunter As A Horse, her sound is haunting and atmospheric yet synth driven. Coupled with Nina’s distinct voice, they manage to create songs that are highly visual and cinematic, yet still retaining their pop sensibility.

My Mistake is an electronic masterpiece, right from the get go, grabbing you with its heavy and dark pulsating rhythm which builds up to an euphoric chorus. Even though unreleased, the track has already been featured on the HUGO Tracks compilation that marked 25 years of HUGO by Hugo Boss; as well as in a Peccadillo Pictures trailer.

The single features the hypnotic and beautiful track Dark Rider as a b-side, a tale of speed and abandonment that carries on the theme of live fast and die young set in previous releases. Included in the release are two brilliant remixes, one by Bright Light Bright Light, who’s releasing a duet with Elton John on the same day, toured and remixed the likes of Ellie Goulding, Scissor Sisters and VV Brown. And the amazing synth wizard Big Black Delta who transforms the title track into a bouncy affair of manipulated, ghostly vocals and quirky synth lines. California based Jonathan Bates toured with M83 and supported Jane’s Addition while also collaborating with Nine Inch Nails among others.

Track List:
1 My Mistake
2 Dark Rider
