“a formidable talent who can swamp-rock it up with the best of them, and follow that with a delicate acoustic ballad, all wrapped in a honeyed, soulful, puppy dog voice that’s as memorable as the melodies.”
AMERICAN SONGWRITER
“…driving the ladies wild with Nashville charm, a story-teller’s approach, and a blend of classic country instrumentation…”
CONSEQUENCE OF SOUND
“He’s got that swagger and still waters thing going on that hearkens back to the legendary Southern singer/songwriters of the seventies as well as the Canyon greats.”
THE LINE OF BEST FIT
“his songs have more muscle and grit than the folk troubadours of the Greenwich scene”

All These Dreams, the new album from acclaimed musician, songwriter and performer
Andrew Combs, will be released
26th January on
Loose Music. As a special preview, the first single, “
Foolin’,”, out on 15th December, premiered yesterday at
Rolling Stone Country.
Listen to ‘Foolin” here:
Of the music, Rolling Stone Country praises it as being, “a shimmering, Orbison-like arrangement.” Andrew explains how the song was inspired by the digital age we live in – “Specifically, the social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram that allow us to create a public profile of the “coolest” version of ourselves, when what is portrayed might not be at all who we are.”
“I wrote the tune with my buddy Ian Fitchuk, who played drums on the record. I had the chorus idea at the time but didn’t want the song to morph into the usual “love gone wrong” type of tune, which, with that chorus, could have easily happened. We talked about what angle we wanted to take it from, and it ended up like this. I definitely feel a personal connection to the narrator, as do many people, I would think.”
In celebration of the album release, Combs will join labelmate Justin Townes Earle on a series of winter European dates and, in April, will perform at the 2015 Stagecoach Festival in Indio, CA.

Combs’ debut album, Worried Man, was released in 2012 on Chicago-via-Nashville indie label Coin Records. American Songwriter named the album one of the year’s best, while Southern Living praised Combs for being “well on his way to becoming a preeminent voice in his genre” and in the UK, Rough Trade Shops made Worried Man one of their Albums Of The Month. For the new album, Combs tapped Nashville producers Jordan Lehning and Skylar Wilson, who recently co-produced Caitlin Rose’s The Stand-In. Combs became familiar with the producers while supporting Caitlin Rose on her album-release tours in the U.S. and Europe. All These Dreams was recorded in Nashville with many of Combs’ long-time musical collaborators, including lead guitarist Jeremy Fetzer and pedal steel guitarist Spencer Cullum Jr. (of the instrumental duo Steelism) as well as bassist Mike Rinne, drummer Ian Fitchuk, and Lehning and Wilson on keyboards and percussion.
