“That sounds ready to me, when you put it in the category/company of Paolo Nutini, Ben Howard – Tenterhook sounds ready! Well done eh” Zane Lowe
“Almost unfeasibly young… yet his music has a world-weariness, a sighing nature which could only come from the weight of experience” Clash
“Ethereal, breathtakingly beautiful tunes” The 405
“One of the most promising artists to emerge so far this year” When The Gramophone Rings

Tenterhook – 20-year-old Archie Faulks – releases his new EP ‘Tenterhook 2’ next week and it’s now streaming in full via Nylon.

‘Tenterhook 2’ is out on 24th November on Cartoon Records and was produced by Anthony Leung at London’s Crypt Studios. Influences including Nick Drake, Damien Rice and Bon Iver, along with modern pop, are twisted through the four-track EP.

The London artist is currently supporting Icelandic musician Ásgeir on his European tour and will play O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on 26th November. Tenterhook has already been on his own travels around Europe, when he spent his summer going from city to city, busking to pay for the trip. He visited Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Budapest, Vienna, Munich, Bucharest, Zagreb & Split.

2014 has already seen him sell out his two headline shows at London’s prestigious Servant Jazz Quarters and St. Pancras Old Church. Tenterhook has also clocked up plays with Radio 1’s Zane Lowe and Alice Levine, XFM’s John Kennedy, 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq and on Amazing Radio.
