“I don’t think we’ve had a more epic tracklist from a live session! / with anymore guitar riffs like that I think they’re going to melt the place! / I’m a little bit blown away!” – BBC Introducing

“Their innovation and creativity is simply impressive and they are definitely a young band to watch.” – The Mixed Tape

Making waves across the Midlands, Telford 4 piece The Rooz have had an unprecedented rise in the past 12 months culminating in the band closing the 2014 Music For Youth Prom at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall on the 11th November.

Lead by multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter Louis Coupe, 2014 has seen the band release a string of eclectic EP’s, showcasing the diversity and unique melodic arrangements the band have become synonymous for. From hard hitting rock’n’roll akin to the Foo Fighters (Caught In The Sun, Melt The Butter) to layered piano-led euphoria ([untitled], The Eye), The Rooz capture the melodic prowess and skill to create unique arrangements not seen since the heydays of Queen and Wings.

Since forming in early 2013, the band have garnered critical acclaim including support from BBC Introducing and have played packed out shows across the Midlands with wide acclaim and praise for their impressive live shows. Being crowned the “Live Band Of The Year” from The Robin 2 Venue, The Rooz put on a live show that both astounds and makes new fans wherever they go. This, in combination with the exciting and dynamic music they make, lead to the band being awarded the special “Award For Innovation” from Music For Youth in recognition of the layered and diverse Music they create, unique to find in young bands.

With a string of live dates left for 2014, including dates as Main Support for Orchard Hill’s UK Tour and their huge appearance at the Royal Albert Hall, 2015 looks set to be a important year for one of the most acclaimed young bands in the UK.
