* London live debut @ Old Blue Last, November 20th *
“The Liverpool act join the ranks of Tame Impala-influenced psych hopefuls but land firmly in the upper echelons.” NME
“Dances with uncertainties before coming to one severe conclusion…capable of breaking down just about any boundary.” DIY
“Immediately alluring.” Dots and Dashes
A disco-totem rising through the psychedelic mist, Tell Me Again is latest GULF demo to enter internet ether.
Underpinned with a loose dance-floor groove and a seismic chorus, this is pop in swirling technicolour. Tell Me Again is online now and the band make their London live debut at Old Blue Last on November 20th.
Liverpool five piece Gulf arrive surfing a warm wave of kaleidoscopic pop. Last month they premiere the glistening early cut ‘Emitter’, gathering comparisons to Tame Impala, The Horrors and fellow Liverpudlians Outfit for their delicate spaced-out grooves.
Recorded with Darren Jones (The Maccabees, Bill Ryder Jones, Wombats) Gulf blend the sweet inflections of their disco and funk inspiration into a dreamy landscape of finely tuned melancholy and bright, swirling choruses.
“Being a five piece with three guitars, we find ourselves extensively exploring the arrangement and how different sounds compliment each other. We’re making music to satisfy our psychedelic urges…”
Gulf live dates:
