As they currently write and record new music, Birmingham 5 piece, Cytota today reveal the latest member to join their ranks, singer Griffin Dickinson. Brought on board to front the band, singer Griffin will now join Cytota in the studio as they finish writing new tracks, a taste of which is expected to be revealed later this year.

Alongside all this excitement, Cytota also confirm their latest live dates, supporting Japanese metal band Crossfaith. As explosive a band as you’re likely to see in 2014, Crossfaith will take Cytota, alongside compatriots Coldrain, on their 7 UK dates in November as well as their first ever non UK dates, when they play 3 EU dates at the beginning of November. Before the UK run of dates, Cytota will take in their first headline show since Griffin joined Youssef, Harry, Ollie and Ryan to make up the full line up of the band, when they play Bournemouth, Anvil on November 16th. As heavy as ever, Cytota will play new music alongside old favourites on these latest live dates, with 2014’s ‘Sinnoncence’ sure to be on the bill, alongside as yet unrevealed new music.

Talking about joining Cytota as their new full time vocalist Griffin Dickinson had to say:

“I’ve known the Cytota dudes since we first toured together, about 5 years ago now. So when I got the call asking if I wanted to try out as the new vocalist, it was an opportunity I had to seize. With the debut Album coming up there is so much potential, I’m really excited about the future with these dudes; this is just the beginning!”

With Harry Jennings adding about the tour and Griffin coming on board:

“It feels like being reborn again with the addition of Griffin, already he’s bringing so much to the band and it’s going to be an exciting future. We’re really excited to be playing music and getting back on the road again with our brothers in Crossfaith!”

Cytota have spent most of 2014 working on new music for their debut full length, due in 2015, but when they haven’t been in the studio they have taken their fantastic live show on the road with US metalcore outfit Memphis May Fire, played alongside Bullet for my Valentine and graced the stage as Donnington’s Download Festival. Set to make 2015 a year not to forget; with new faces, new music and an unmissable run of shows, Cytota will end 2014 leaving fans wanting more.
