With a plethora of projects on the go and a healthy social media addiction to tend to, Chris Farren keeps himself busy. Best known as the frontman of Florida indie-punks Fake Problems, the Naples, FL native is constantly working on something. Having already released two records this year with Antarctigo Vespucci, a power pop-duo helmed by Farren and Jeff Rosenstock (Bomb! The Music Industry), he’s now headed to the UK for a string of solo shows (w/ support from Mark McCabe) following an initial solo tour in support of Koji earlier this year in the US.
The tour also follows the release of Chris’ first solo endeavour, a split with Grey Gordon entitled Ducks Fly Together which was released by No Sleep Records earlier this year. As well as brand new solo material, Chris will be performing songs from both the Fake Problems and Antarctigo Vespucci catalog and these intimate shows are not to be missed.
“The response has been overwhelming,” says Chris about the tour. “It’s been really cool to see how people react to the stripped down versions of Fake Problems & Antarctigo Vespucci songs….The last time I toured in the UK was 2009 with Frank Turner and I’m more than thrilled to be coming back. I’ve always had an excellent time and felt at home in England. I LOVE IT. I’m also looking forward to being very cold 100% of the time.”
Antarctigo Vespucci’s latest EP I’m So Tethered will be available as a limited 7” (set for release in early 2015) and is up for pre-order from Asian Man Records here – http://www.storenvy.com/products/1255850-antarctigo-vespucci-im-so-tethered-7
