To the readers of our site, American Football hardly need an introduction. The influential late-90s emo band
from Champaign-Urbana, Illinois were active from 1997 for around 3 years. Now almost 15 years on, the trio have revived their roots to reunite for a string of live shows and have now confirmed their first ever UK tour.

The band, which features Mike Kinsella of Owen, Cap’n Jazz and Joan of Arc, reformed earlier this year, having split in 2000. The reissue of their self-titled debut was released by Polyvinyl in May, with the band playing a series of shows in North America.

Having never played a UK show in the past, American Football will now do a trio of dates in May 2015, starting with a show at London’s Electric Ballroom, Leeds’ Brudenell Social Club and Gorilla in Manchester.

Tickets will go on sale on Monday (November 24) at 10am via the band’s official website. See the dates in full below.

London Electric Ballroom (May 14)
Leeds Brudenell Social Club (15)
Manchester Gorilla (16)
