Shy For Shore’s spectacular rise is set to continue with the painful-pleasure wonder Steal My Car.  Now one of Scandanavia’s most rapidly rising pop acts, the two-piece’s latest single follows on from the runaway successes of previous single Love, Again and their 2013 breakthrough EP 1985 receiving critical acclaim from NME, The Line of Best Fit, Indie Shuffle, Wonderland, Notion and a huge number of Hype Machine blogs.

Now together for three years having formed after a chance encounter at Camden’s Roundhouse, Shy For Shore perfected their art through countless live performances and are now pouncing fully formed onto a salivating world. Steal My Car marks a huge step in the history of the duo, which will see the group’s pedigree flourish.

Steal My Car takes the best of previous single Love, Again and builds further, extending the horizon whilst still retaining the bittersweet melodic composition which  Shy For Shore have made their own. Despite retaining the principal trademark sounds that Shy For Shore are becoming loved for, Steal My Car still feels like a huge progression, with the duo now battle-hardened and ready for the wider music world.

Shy For Shore wonderfully thread the eye of pensive synth yet they still retain a foundation of sanguine and resolute determination. Melancholic pop can pierce the soul in a way that nothing else can; poignant with a relentless ache yet grasping unrequited expectation and joy, and Shy For Shore do it perfectly.
