“another show, another display of Lonely The Brave’s immense promise.” – NME

“’The Day’s War’ is fit to bursting with anthems of disaffection that will keep them in festival slots for years to come” Mojo

“Full to the brim with dramatic anthems” – Classic Rock

Having released their debut album ‘The Day’s War’ to massive critical acclaim and a place at #14 in the UK album charts this past September, Cambridge quintet, Lonely The Brave now reveal the new video for latest single and fan favourite ‘The Blue, The Green.’ With soaring guitars throughout and a goose bump inducing refrain from singer David Jakes, the track has always been a highlight at live shows. Lonely The Brave now feature the track in a stark and stunning new light alongside director Greg Davenport’s visuals.

Speaking about ‘The Blue, The GreenLonely The Brave guitarist Mark Trotter touched on how each person interprets songs differently, when he said:

“Our favourite songs are the ones that you take as your own. The songs that remind you of a place, a time or a moment; something that is perhaps far removed from what the artist was originally writing about. “

Greg Davenport, who directed the video for previous single ‘Backroads,’ perhaps reflects this ethos as keenly as anyone in his visual interpretation of the single, telling the story of two brothers trying to see each other’s perspective, drawing of the themes of altruism and apathy David Jakes touches upon when he sings, ‘I want to know what it’s like, so I can feel it inside.’

Lonely The Brave are currently on tour with Marmozets and Allusondrugs, taking in 13 dates across the UK. With their album already released, Lonely The Brave will bring their year to an end in December when they join Kings Lynn band Deaf Havana on their UK headline tour.
