Nina Schofield is a London-based singer/ songwriter. After self-releasing two tracks, her single Slow Down Soldier charted at number 4 on iTunes, and her single Drifting was nominated for Best Female Vocal at The Hollywood Music in Media Awards. Having gained a lot of industry attention because of that, Nina was then approached and personally asked to perform at The Paralympics Torch Lighting Ceremony at Stoke Mandeville Stadium.
Being busy writing and performing professionally with various acts, composers and producers, Nina has recently collaborated with Oscar, Grammy and Golden Globe– nominated Jud Friedman. Her CV includes co-writing and co-producing with the likes of Richard Niles (Morrisey), Lloyd Perrin (Orbital), Tom Wilding (Gabrielle Aplin), DJ David Forbes (Aria Digital), David Davis (Kobalt), and Pyramid/Rude Kid.
The past few months Nina’s been working on new material, and is now ready to release her upcoming new single Over It Under It. By blending a touch of Foxes, Chlöe Howl with Imagine Dragons and The Killers, the production is current, upbeat and straight to the point. Nina’s vocal power sounds astoundingly effortless all throughout the song, and the powerful choruses become an immediate highlight for any listener thanks to their very hooky melodies and the intensity of the arrangements.
Refined and sumptuous, Over It Under It is a rocketing introduction to what Nina Schofield is about, falling comfortably in between the pop sensibilities of Natalia Kills and the neo-soul march of Sky Ferreira. The track shows off Nina’s strengths as a leading lady in her own right, and it will be available for sale and download everywhere from 18th August 2014.
