‘BLAUER TAG’ WITH A B-SIDE MÖWE REMIX OF DE HOFNAR’S ‘ZONNESTRAAL’
RELEASE DATE 30 AUGUST 2014

For fans of KlangkarussellRobin Schulz and Mr Probz.

Viennese electronic duo Mel and Clemens are the creators of MÖWE. You have probably heard a lot of their tracks, without even realising it; the most familiar one being the Robin Schulz remix of ‘Blauer Tag‘, which will be officially released on 30 August 2014, complete with a B-side MÖWE remix of De Hofnar‘s ‘Zonnestraal’.

MÖWE (meaning seagull in German) was founded on 10 January 2013 in the duo’s hometown of Vienna. Mel and Clemens were members of the indie band Mary Lost Her Pathos. Starting for the love of music, both artists wanted to create a new project, declaring a war on the cold winter months with their sunny summer-sounds.

Their first track ‘Blauer Tag‘ (‘blue day’) gained in the first two weeks more than 20,000 clicks on YouTube and racked up similar figures on Soundcloud. ‘Blauer Tag’ is now available as an official release with a B-side remix of De Hofnar‘s ‘Zonnestraal’.

Since 2013, MÖWE has had worthy causes for celebration, beyond its first anniversary. Riding the deep sax movement, the duo has produced one successful hit after another along with several remixes. Not only are the songs catchy but they have a way of touching their listeners, by getting underneath their skin with their lyrics and vocals, characterised by the artists’ unmistakable style and lovingly described as “MÖWEly sound”.

MÖWE is characterised by their powerful performance. However, the duo also relishes the opportunity to collaborate and sing live with other talented guest musicians. Oliver Koletzi was quickly drawn to Mel and Clemens and immediately signed them under his label Stil vor Talent, under which they launched their second EP ‘Inside’. They successfully concluded their first release on the French label Crosswalk, with the ambition of many others to follow.

Most of songs can be downloaded on Soundcloud for free, because their followers and fans are important to them.
