The Color Morale have released a second track from forthcoming LP ‘Hold On Pain Ends’ which is set for release on September 1, 2014 via Fearless Records and was produced by Mike Green (Paramore, Pierce The Veil, All Time Low). We Came As Romans’ Dave Stephens features on the track ‘Suicide;Stigma’ which is exemplary of The Color Morale’s knack to combine shredding riffs and soaring choruses whilst emphasising an emboldened message. Frontman Garret Rapp explains the motivation behind the song – Most people are uncomfortable with the topic of suicide. Too often, victims are blamed, and their families and friends are left stigmatized. As a result, people do not communicate openly about suicide. Thus an important public health problem is left shrouded in secrecy, which limits the amount of information available to those working to prevent suicide.”

Rapp is emphatic about the album’s overall themes and heart – “Hold On Pain Ends is an album tackling the detrimental grey areas of today’s youth.  It will discuss real issues like self harm, self sabotage, suicide, depression, addiction, eating disorders, abandonment, and other topics I spent the last year gathering stories pertaining to and from fans. This is a record that needed to be written specifically for the listener. The album art tells a story of inner beauty ignored by false belief.  I see so many kids all over the world blinded by what they think society expects from them. This causes them to become a victim to their own false expectation, to then seek approval from the society around them. It’s a statement that we all have potential to be what we truly are… imperfect.”

The Color Morale is currently tearing across North America on the Vans Warped Tour 2014. They’ll be bringing ‘Hold On Pain Ends’ to the UK as support to The Word Alive in October.
