As they prepare to celebrate 10 years in UK rock music, Hassle Records today announces the signing of Norwich 5 piece, Under The Influence. Throughout their history, Hassle have been at the forefront of breaking trends, having brought to these shores artists such as Fall Out Boy, Brand New and Alexisonfire; and nurtured UK talent like We Are The Ocean, Blitz Kids and most recently having signed Lonely The Brave. Hassle now prepares to push genre boundaries again as they bring Under The Influence’s unique brand of rock music, blended with rap and metal, to the masses.

Under The Influence and Hassle Records also premiere the video for the bands first single proper, ‘Broken Glass,’ from their forthcoming debut full length album ‘The Struggle,’ released later this year. Jack Murphy, front man for the band says of the new single:

The song tells a story about Karma in which we feel strongly towards, it is about a personal experience we as a band have faced a few times, and how sometimes it’s not always right to show anger towards someone you do not get along with. As humans we are all guilty of this and it’s up to us to change and work around the problem at hand.

Formed in 2010, the band are home town favourites, being a regular feature at BBC Radio Norfolk. As their appeal has extended to a wider audience the band have also been played by the likes of BBC Radio 1’s Phil and Alice. Their track ‘VS The World’ is also used by TNA Wrestling’s first English Heavyweight Champion ‘Magnus’ as his well-known entry music. The band has supported a hugely diverse selection of acts such as UK buzz band Hacktivist, metallers Bury Tomorrow, US rock group Thousand Foot Krutch, as well as supporting Ska Punk outfit Sonic Boom Six on their UK tour. . .
