Introducing… Speakman Sound!

For fans of: Bonobo, Gold Panda, Mount KimbleSpeakman Sound are Todd and Guy Speakman, two brothers from Glastonbury who produce ethereal electronica that sounds like it could have drifted over on the mists of Avalon, with roots in Detroit House and 1960s Psycadelia. The evocatively titled Survive This Dream is the first free track taken from their forthcoming, as yet untitled, debut album.

The duo have had the privilege of working with Georgia Mason (a long term collaborator) who provides lead vocals on the track. She’s already grabbed the ear of Jimmy Hogarth, who was instrumental in the discovery of such vocalists as Corrinne Bailey Rae, Duffy and Amy Winehouse, to name but a few.

Survive This Dream conjures up images of sun soaked beaches dappled with beat hungry clubbers. The track has all the makings of a summer dance floor hit, with ethereal keys and vocals backed up by stripped down percussion and bass.

With previous releases gaining support from the likes of Ministry Of Sound, BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio, Survive This Dream is just a taste of what’s to come and a great teaser for their upcoming single In Flight.
