WAKING ADIA / WATCH THE NEW VIDEO FOR ‘GLOW COIN’ HERE / UK TOUR DATES

For fans of 65days, Maybeshewill, Minus The Bear

Waking Aida are an experimental rock band from Southampton.

Their style, influenced by the soundscapes of Explosions In The Sky and hooks of Minus the Bear, combine with off kilter time signatures and rising electronics. Together they bring colour and warmth to a genre searching for fresh modes of expression.

Recorded with Jamie Ward (Maybeshewill), their album ‘Eschaton‘ is a youthful and erratic debut with dreamy undertones. There are nods to genre figureheads like 65daysofstatic and Maybeshewill throughout the record but this is still very much a band bringing new life into the math/post-rock genres and making it their own.

Waking Aida will be touring the UK in June but in the meantime they will be making appearances at Handmade Festival and Arctangent Festival alongside the likes of Russian Circles, Tall Ships, Lite, Tera Merlos. ‘Eschaton‘  will be released on 2nd June through Leicester label Robot Needs Home.
