Watch brand new video for ‘NOW’
Fast-rising Brighton upstarts The New Union have unveiled the new video for their single ‘NOW’, released 17th March 2014. The simple yet captivating black and white video highlights the subtle darkness that underpins a song which appears deceptively bright upon first listen. Watch the video on their YouTube channel.
Like many of the best pop songs, ‘NOW’ keeps its true meaning and darkness hidden beneath its undeniably hook-laden melody. Written around the subject of self-doubt and obsessing over failure, ‘NOW’ is a cry for change – a sentiment sure to be reiterated by an increasingly disillusioned generation.
The new single follows the release of their Staying Friends EP, recorded with Grammy award winning producer Dan Grech (Tom Odell, The Vaccines, Scissor Sisters) in London’s legendary RAK Studios. ‘NOW’ was produced by good friend, Electric Soft Parade’s Matt Thwaites and mixed/mastered at Abbey Road Studios.
The New Union have previously shared stages with the likes of Bastille, The 1975, Dog Is Dead, Slowclub and Clock Opera and are set to perform at two single release shows – one at Bermuda Triangle in their hometown of Brighton on 7th March and the other at Hoxton Bar & Kitchen on 14th March.
‘NOW’ is released 17th March 2014.
