Today marks the official release date for La Dispute‘s third full-length Rooms of the House.  The heavily anticipated album from the Michigan band has already received rave reviews with Alternative Press calling the record “a success on all levels, but what puts it over the top of the rest of the band’s catalogue is how effortlessly the album flows from track to track.”   NME says that Rooms of the House “sees the band properly impress,” giving the record an 8 out of 10.  Their praise joins scores of others from outlets such as Pitchfork, AV Club, Stereogum, BrooklynVegan and Noisey.

A portion of the proceeds from this record will go toward non-profits and charities who La Dispute connect with and want to support, including 826 National (, Girls Rock Camp Alliance ( and Teenage Cancer America (  The band also recently auctioned off a test press of Rooms of the House for each of the three charities on eBay, raising hundreds of additional dollars for each.

Rooms of the House was recorded and mixed by Will Yip at Studio 4 in Philadelphia, produced by Yip and La Dispute, and mastered at The Lodge by Emily Lazar.  Alongside the new record, La Dispute have created a 48-page companion book titled Yesterday’s Home that details the working process of writing and recording Rooms of the House as well as a special presentation of the album’s lyrics.

La Dispute is currently on a full North American tour to support the release of Rooms of the House, with dates throughout the rest of the world to follow (all North American tour dates below).  Joining La Dispute on this first round of dates are friends Pianos Become the Teeth and Mansions.

La Dispute is vocalist Jordan Dreyer, guitarists Kevin Whittemore and Chad Morgan-Sterenberg, bassist Adam Vass and drummer Brad Vander Lugt.
