Frameworks “Loom” Large on Pitchfork- Debut Album Out 4/29 via Topshelf Records

Gainesville, FL post-hardcore quintet Frameworks released the title track off their upcoming full-length Loom today via Pitchfork.  Loom, which will arrive April 29th via Topshelf Records, was recorded by Jack Shirley (Deafheaven, Joyce Manor, Comadre) in his Atomic Garden Studios in San Francisco.  The record sees Frameworks sprawling into more experimental territory, expanding beyond their post-hardcore roots to create a record which is brightly evocative, emotional, overwhelmingly gorgeous and one that sees the band genre-bending to carve out space for what they manage to create in Loom‘s 11 tracks.

Pitchfork said of the track, “Gainesville, Fla outfit Frameworks’ “Loom” gives off impending doom, cramming in three or four code-red emergency drills into about two and a half minutes. The presence of Deafheaven producer Jack Shirley might lead indie fans to hear it as concentrated Sunbather, though it recalls the Skeleton days of the badly missed Abe Vigoda”.

Formed in Gainesville in 2011, Frameworks first gained notice with their early 2013 Small Victories EP on 13th Floor Records.  A split release with Kittyhawk, Prawn and Droughts later that year drew more attention to the band who somehow manage to create music that exists where Explosions in the Sky and Fucked Up meet.

Frameworks will embark on select dates throughout the Southern US in March including several shows at SXSW (all tour dates below).
