The Voluntary Butler Scheme has announced the release of his third full-length album ‘A Million Ways to Make Gold’ on 24th February 2014 through Split Records.

The first single taken off the album is ‘Quinzhee’, a Beach Boys-esque seasonal track out on December 23rd. The Voluntary Butler Scheme, aka one man band Rob Jones, wrote the song on a hot August night when sleep was evading him. “I whispered it all in to my phone and then worked out the chords the next morning. I played it and thought ‘oh that sounds like Christmassy kind of August accident”. The song features French horn, trumpet, saxophone, guitar, bass, drums, piano and rudimentary violin all played by Rob.

You can now watch the video for ‘Quinzhee’, a very snowy story with a happy ending, hand-drawn and animated by Graeme Maguire.
