A Will Away was formed in Naugatuck, CT in 2010 by vocalist Matthew Carlson and guitarist/vocalist Ryan Cool, who were quickly joined by friends Collin Waldron (guitar), John McSweeney (bass) and Sean Dibble (drums). Having known each other for a number of years through school and a variety of musical projects, the chemistry between the five quickly sparked and over the next two years the building blocks would be put in place for December 2012’s debut full length Product of Your Environment. The release brought to the table the sound of a band quickly maturing; one who have found a sound they are comfortable with, blending pop-punk with a considered guitar driven alternative sound.

A Will Away has also developed a reputation as an electric live act; their energetic, high-octane shows and their rigorous touring schedule quickly cementing them as a local favourite and developing a loyal fan base across Connecticut and the East Coast. Furthermore, the summer of 2012 saw A Will Away attract the attention of the Vans Warped Tour, securing a slot at the 2012 Tour and with it the ultimate stage with which to prove themselves.

Having just announced their signing to Giant MKT Records, A Will Away are set to release their new EP Cold Weather on January 7th 2014.

Additionally, Crash Island have graced the stage of a number of European music festivals including Yard Life, Caprices & Summertime festivals as well as shows at a range of London’s top venues from the o2 Academy Islington to the Camden Barfly.

‘London four-piece Crash Island deliver really lovely indie rock that’s occasionally delay-heavy and tropical.’ – Time Out London

2013 has seen the band continue to spread their wings across Europe to appease their widespread and quickly increasing fan base. This year has seen the band play dates in France, Switzerland, Germany and the UK, as well as the release of highly lauded debut EP Strange Shores which was mixed by Gordon Raphael (The Strokes).

Having joined the ranks of exciting new U.S based record label Giant MKT, Strange

Shores will see a physical re-release, and it’s first North America distribution on January 7th.

Homage – Insignificant EP

Toronto post-hardcore outfit Homage have signed to Giant MKT Records and will re-release debut EP Insignificant through the newly formed label on January 7th 2014.

Insignificant is available to pre-order via Bandcamp

Formed in 2012, the Toronto, Ontario quintet comprises of Emmett Johnston, Jon Lundrigan, Spencer Schiralli, Travis Dupuis, and Waley Gao.

The summer of 2012 saw the release of promising debut EP Insignificant, which drew plaudits from press across alternative music, many of whom praised the band’s original brand of hardcore which, unlike that of many of their peers, comes together with boisterous and rugged vocals, whilst much of the melody is supplied via the cleverly constructed guitars, a formula with which the band has quickly proved their worth.

‘…a killer record’ – New Junk

Their excellent debut effort was followed by a two-track split with Ontario punkers Altona in April 2013. The split would set the tempo for the rest of the year, during which time Homage would share a stage with some of the most exciting bands in the genre including Pentimento, Abandon All Ships and Counterparts.

‘The Toronto quintet make the only truly important declaration, of just how promising a band accomplished a band they are.’ – Ringmaster Reviews

Homage’s ascension to the next level has been dealt a further boost with the announcement they have signed to Giant MKT records, who will re-release the energetic and compelling Insignificant on January 7th 2014.
