ANNOUNCE FIRST SINGLE FROM ‘DARK DAYS’
‘THINK IT OVER’
DARK DAYS RELEASED JANUARY 13th 2014 ON HASSLE RECORDS

“The year ahead could be theirs for the taking” – Kerrang!
“We’ve come to expect banger-sized choruses from the Surrey foursome” – Rock Sound

Ahead of releasing their third studio album ‘Dark Days’, Surrey 4 piece, Canterbury, announce the first single from the record; ‘Think It Over’. With anthemic choruses and a growing confidence this track marks a turning of the page for Canterbury. Always a favourite with press, with support coming from Kerrang!, Rock Sound, DIY magazine and others, and radio plays on previous single ‘Satellite’ including BBC Radio 1’s Jen and Ally on their Introducing show – ‘Think It Over’ is Canterbury flexing their pop rock muscle’s and demonstrating why their latest record is their most accomplished to date.

‘Dark Days’ sees Canterbury build on their distinctive sound, with their “winning way with pop hooks”(K!) undiminished despite infusing a darker more mature feel into these songs; with the heavier edge that was evident on their EP ‘Satellite’ a constant theme on their 3rd full length record. With production coming from Peter Miles (We Are The Ocean, Dry The River) and Adrian Bushby (Muse, Foo Fighters) on mixing responsibilities.

The band, joined by Chris Velissarides on drums for the first time and completed by Mike Sparks on guitar and vocals, James Pipe on guitar and Luke Prebble on bass and vocals; recently completed their UK Tour and are now embarking on a tour of Europe with welsh indie pop-punk faction Kids In Glass Houses.
