Years ago, Spencer Radcliffe (California Furniture, Best Witches) birthed a brainchild that he referred to as Blithe Field. Songs took the shape of numerous releases which were, in turn, increasingly doted by a quality legion of listeners. The initial and possibly most notable of these releases came in the form of Beautiful Wave ’74.
This album conjurs a multitude of emotions from a simple calm to a deep introspection. Beautiful Wave ’74 provides a continuous ambient backdrop to an orbiting cast of instrumentation and samples that span from Alan Watts to Charles Manson.
Originally released in March of 2010 by Ohio’s Messy Life Records, Beautiful Wave ’74 will now be available for the first time ever on vinyl. Limited to 300 total copies (100 – Clear w/Red, Blue, & Green Splatter; 200 – Opague Yellow), be advised that this record will likely not be in stock long. Official release is slated for late November.
