Willimantic, CT indie rockers are premiering their new Alex Henery-directed music video “Low Light Assembly” on Spin.com: http://goo.gl/KHw5i1.

Of the guerilla style shoot, director Henery says “We tried shooting this three times prior at various quarries and reservoirs around southern and eastern New England and kept getting stopped by fake cops. We decided to try our luck with this spot early in the morning and ended up with some pretty great results. The lake’s actually on the top of a mountain so it was a good hike out to it. When we got there, we were the only people there.”

The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die’s sound is easily compared to second wave post-emo indie rock bands of the late 90s and early 2000s and their atmospheric moments are often tagged as “post-rock.” The band creates their dense textured sound with multi-layered and heavily effected guitars as well as synthesizer, cello, and trumpet.

The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die will kick off their tour with Brand New this Friday in Cincinnati, OH. Rounding out the band’s busy fall tour schedule, are dates with Toe, The Front Bottoms, Daylight, The Menzingers, 65DaysofStatic and Caspian.

TWIABPAIANLATD’s latest Topshelf Records LP, “Whenever, If Ever” made an impressive debut earlier this summer when it landed on the Billboard Top 200 in its first week of release. The album has been met with widespread acclaim, with Pitchfork recently stating, “Cap’n Jazz, Jazz June, and all that other jazz was never this melodic, never this instrumentally tight, and never this well-produced. TWIABP establish they are not an emo revival act, but more of a spiritual descendent of Danielson Famile or an early 00s Saddle Creek band.”
