It all started in 2011 for Midday Committee with the release of debut EP, Nice Kids, Bad Judge of Character. Showing similar qualities in their musicianship, and indeed in their degree of promise as many of the scene’s leading breakthrough acts themselves did at an early stage, it is perhaps no surprise that producing duties for I’m Sure Someone Mentioned A Cheque were quickly snapped up by the man who helped project the likes of Don Broco, You Me At Six & Deaf Havana to international stardom, Matt O’Grady
‘(‘Starry Eyes’) could have the most infectious chorus of the year…’ – Rock Regeneration
Though less than two years in age, Midday Committee have not struggled gaining momentum on the South Coast, earning supporting slots with some of the U.K scene’s hottest new bands including Kids Can’t Fly, Attention Thieves & Mallory Knox as well as gracing the stages of Butserfest and WTFest.
‘…superior to much of the early work of far bigger bands’ – Mint South
Looking to build on their early success, Midday Committee are currently in the midst of recording the follow up to I’m Sure Someone Mentioned A Cheque, a release that will no doubt showcase a the talented quartet making further strides towards the top of the emerging U.K pop-punk ladder.
