Turbowolf announce new EP‏

September 9, 2012

Bristolian riff monsters Turbowolf have announced they will be releasing a covers EP on October 8th containing four classic tracks ripped to shreds in the band’s signature weirdo style.

The band are coinciding the release with an epic UK headline tour that will take their monstrous riffage to all corners of the nation.

The EP takes a broad range of musical styles and eras, and transforms them into a sound that could only be from the minds of Turbowolf. From a grimed-up ‘Somebody To Love’ by Jefferson Airplane, to a doomy take on MGMT’s ‘Electric Feel’, the four tracks combine already exceptional song writing with the unparalleled energy and innovation of Turbowolf.

Track listing for the EP, due out on Hassle Records, is as follows:

See Through Head (The Hives)
Electric Feel (MGMT)
Captain Caveman (Lightning Bolt)
Somebody To Love (Jefferson Airplane / The Great Society)

The EP will be released smack in the middle of the band’s most ambitious tour to date, a 13-date UK headline road-trip, which will see Turbowolf whipping the country into a frenzy of brain-melting chaos.

After a whole summer of shocking and awing festival crowds across the UK and Europe, including storming sets at Download, Germany’s Hurricane/Southside Festivals, and a support slot for Wolfmother at IndigO2. An upcoming slot at Bestival is just another opportunity for them to simultaneously turn and roll new heads.

Be sure to catch the band in their element blowing minds, nailing riffs and causing chaos. See below for tour details.
