Back From Outer Space Bookings have done it once again- provided us with not one but two brilliant and must see acts!
Two of Circuit Sweet Favorite’s found in Everyone Everywhere and Chalk Talk have just announced their forthcoming European tour.
Everyone Everywhere– Always shifting and rarely content to follow verse-chorus-verse norms, Everyone Everywhere flexes some serious instrumental muscle with its patented guitar acrobatics, chunky chords steeped in distortion and fuzz, propulsive rhythms and layers upon layers of richly textured harmonics. Lead vocalist Brendan McHugh’s delivery is reserved yet confident, and his intriguing and obtuse lyrical style is a recipe for certain addiction. This is music that is kinetic, warm and bright and transmits in both nostalgic and progressive tones all at once. While the ten songs on their debut self-titled LP ebb and swell with bittersweet melodies and simultaneously driving and intricate soundscapes, it’s almost all peaks and no valleys. Maybe as close to perfecting the classic 90’s emo / indie rock / power pop style as you’re going to hear all year.
Chalk Talk– With no music scene in their area to speak of, Chalk Talk has risen to the challenge of being a decidedly DIY band. Within months of forming, the band, then consisting of dual vocalists Bryce Pulaski and Andy Kapinos on guitar and drums respectively, recorded a six-song demo entitled Killing Spree, threw together a few dozen copies on their own and hit the road for a week-long Northeast tour. With subject matter ranging from sexual frustration to the monotony of suburban life, and melodies taking cues from the power-pop sensibilities of Weezer, blink-182, and the Promise Ring. The Food Chain is both relateable and widely accessible. Chalk Talk in the past year has done multiple weekends in Canada and also toured for 2 weeks down to Texas.
Everyone Everywhere will be touring supporting their brand new self titled album, released on Big Scary Monsters and Chalk Talk will be touring to support their new record “Bad Influences” out on Sex Cave Records (US) Rough Book Records (UK) and Sometimes I Get Drunk Records (US).
The two bands will play 32 shows across Czeh Republic, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, Holland, England, Ukraine and Hungary!
