In Pictures: Face + Heel Live Debut @ The Croft, Bristol 9th January

Monday 9th January The Croft opened it’s doors to promote fresh propitious artists.

On the bill for the evening- Face  + Heel, That Hidden Promise and Aulos all took to the front room hiding at the back of the bar. Opening the night’s live array of music and instantly connecting and captivating the audience, Face+Heel took to their stage for the band’s first ever live performance.

Face + Heel are a boy/girl duo from London and Cardiff.  Notably the pair only formed in the summer of 2011 but time means nothing to such a talented pair who will soon relish in deserved success. Together they mix the right amount of complimenting live piano and dungeon synths … more and crisp future garage/deep house beats. They’ve already drawn favourable comparison to Mount Kimbie, SBTRKT and Moderat from across Europe. Live pitch shifted vocals and Sinead Mcmillans soulful voice and piano also add a dark beauty to the danceable beats and bass lines.

Their debut gig and what an honour to have not only witnessed but been apart of such a remarkable performance from the two. Proving they have the abilities and more talent than most opting their genre. Such a promising act and one we cannot wait to hear more from in the future. Face + Heel are a name soon to be very familiar on our site.
