Influential Connecticut-based modern pop duo Mates of State have a new music video for their incessantly catchy song “Sway”, from the recently released album Mountaintops. Pitchfork premiered the video last week, and it’s available at the links below. The video features a girl who falls down a rabbit hole to discover another world in perfect Lewis Carroll fashion. It showcases the band performing in a high school gym auditorium, outfitted with beautiful flowers, as if nature has exploded at the prom. Experience the fantasy for yourself at the link below:

Don’t miss Mates of State on the road, as they are currently in the middle of their Fall tour’s second leg, which is in support of Mountaintops, recently released on September 13th via Barsuk Records to critical acclaim. Mountaintops is the band’s full-length follow up to 2008’s Re-Arrange Us. The self-produced album was written and recorded over the last year and a half in 6 different studios with multiple engineers, and then tied together by mixer Chris Coady (Beach House, Gang Gang Dance, Smith Westerns).
