The Lack Long After On November 1st

Band To Tour with Touché Amoré and Seahaven This Fall

Boston, MA indie Topshelf Records will release the new record from Baltimore, MD rock band Pianos Become The Teeth on November 1st. Titled The Lack Long After, the album was recorded by Kevin Bernsten at Developing Nations Studio, where the band’s previous effort Old Pride was recorded.

Pianos Become The Teeth has a melodic yet uncompromising sound that brings to mind such diverse and influential bands as Thursday, Envy and City of Caterpillar. Brimming with sincerity and brandishing an experimental ambiance, the band is pushing beyond the boundaries of a stale genre. Mixing elements of screamo, hardcore as well as post rock, The Lack Long After breathes new life into a once decaying scene.

Cover art and track listing for The Lack Long After will be revealed soon.

Pianos Become The Teeth will be doing a full US tour this fall in support of their new record with Touché Amoré and Seahaven (w/ Circle Takes The Square playing a few select dates as well). The tour will span from October 31st to December 11th.

What others have said about Pianos Become The Teeth:

“The kind of band that allow you to feel young, nervous and excited about music again. Powerful, majestic, important and truly fantastic from start to finish.”
-Rock Sound (9/10)

“An eight song powerhouse of unabashed hardcore and screamo …impressively devastating.”-Bedwetting Cosmonaut

“…fucking amazing.” -Indie Rock Reviews (9.2/10)

“We’ve been looking forward to the opportunity to deal with an album labeled screamo without having to put quotation marks around it — taking the time to simultaneously mimic the gesture with our hands.”-Strange Glue (8 out of 10)

“…[A] ferocious album right from the start.”- Basic Text

“Old Pride …is a more cohesive, mature musical statement. The percussion pummels you as the guitars schizophrenically shift and mold from pretty, delay-laden passages to crushing riffs with wild abandon that take directions completely different from what you were expecting to hear next.”-Chug Life

“This is just a great album all the way around.” –Aversion
