Berlin duo Hunter As A Horse – Drop new track The Passenger

“Hunter As a Horse play brilliant electro-pop, addictive and contemplative… they are a hot ticket for the future” Time Out

Bringing to mind the mesmerising atmospherics of Lamb and Zero 7. Dark, and very lovely indeed.” The Guardian

“One of my favourite favourite bands” Simon Raymonde from Bella Union/Amazing Radio

Berlin based band Hunter As a Horse have released their new single  The Passenger on the 4thMarch 2016.

Hunter As a Horse are Paul Gala on piano, synths and machines and Mia van Wyk on vocals and guitar. Their new EP can be described as a psychedelic synth-infused journey filled with stories of wolves, spirits and a first kiss shared in the woods. The sound is distinctly their own – a surprisingly comfortable blend of folk, disco and pop with dark cinematic leanings.

The duo are set to release their first track The Passenger off their upcoming EP: The Two Magics Vol.1, a powerful two part album co-produced and mixed by Ewan Pearson (The Rapture, Ladytron, Chinkiki, M83 & Goldfrapp). The Passenger is a haunting love affair of a song, complete with church organ and features the whispery & lush vocals of Mia. The song easily conjures up images within our heads: dark, affluent, warm, eerie settings of a French 70s horror film.

Hunter As a Horse are collaborating with minimalist light artist Radarboy. Their showsdraw on inspiration from Andy Warhols moody lighting of the Velvet Underground.

The Passenger was released on the 4th of March on the bands own label Valley Of Fire Recordings through Believe Digital and will be available on all digital platforms. Furthermore, the track is featured in the latest season of American Horror Story and the new A&E TV Series DAMIEN.
