Rad Releases ’15 – The Teen Age

December 19, 2015

Skye Portman Rad Releases

It’s that time once again, as the countdown to the end of 2015 quickly approaches we take a personal look back on familiar names, features and musicians’ best releases of the past 12 months. Circuit Sweet will be hosting takeovers from the featured artists of the site with their personal top 5 releases of the year.

Continuing our annual end of year tradition we let our favourites take over the site to tell us the records that have made their end of year lists, their favourite events/gigs and what we can look forward to from them next year.

Our next take over comes from an act who have released our single of the year. The Teen Age are a Brooklyn based quartet with the world at their feet. The Teen Age will lure you in with their addictive and desirable compositions. Together they create tantalising riffs/chords, hypnotic vocals and the perfect punk pop melodies. With a promising year for the act we believe 2016 will only offer great things for the progress of The Teen Age.

The best show you have played this year and why

Old Flame Records & Bedford Slims Unofficial CMJ Rooftop Party:

Great bands, lots of friends, great crowd. Free booze. Free e-cigs. All on a roof. CMJ week at it’s best.

The best gig you have attended and why

Royal Headache & Sheer Mag @ Rough Trade
Both bands are at the top of their game right now. Love both records.

Highlights of your year

Midwest tour with our friends Lazyeyes in July. Played 15 shows in 2 weeks. Lots of crazy road antics. Got to see some great cities.

Plans for the New Year

We’re releasing a new EP in February and planning a Spring tour.

We deemed this act as one of our bands to watch for 2015, to have them take part in our take over means a lot! Looking forward to the EP release next year!
