Danish band announce UK dates, including tour with The Wytches

Copenhagen’s Baby In Vain are back with their new song ‘Worthwhile’. Sinister and sleazy, ‘Worthwhile’ is a creeping and unsuspecting track which explodes in true Baby In Vain style; guitars as riotous as they are sultry and effortlessly cool vocal harmonies from Lola Hammerich and Andrea Thuesen.

The track was written by Andrea and lyrically touches on her growing feelings of pressure as the band shifted from playing for fun in their rehearsal room, to playing bigger and bigger stages. Andrea says: “‘Worthwhile’ is about our blossoming success and how blind it made us, how imprisoned we felt and how we fought to keep our integrity intact in a world where integrity is a rare phenomenon.”

The band also announce a series of UK tour dates, including 12 shows alongside The Wytches. The tour begins with a show at KOKO for Club NME and also includes a London show at the Old Blue Last. Baby In Vain have gained an incredible reputation for their electric live shows, having played festivals including Roskilde Festival, SXSW, The Great Escape and CMJ, as well as performing alongside Ty Segall, Thurston Moore and The Kills, who they recently supported on a US tour.

As restrained as it is powerful, ‘Worthwhile’ showcases another side to the Danish band and hints at what might be in store on their long-awaited debut album, which they are currently putting the finishing touches to.

Baby In Vain are Lola Hammerich (guitar / vocal), Andrea Thuesen (guitar / vocal) and Benedicte Pierleoni (drums).
