“They see the world just a little differently than most people and punch you in the face with everything they do’” Dazed & Confused

“Instantly appealing garage-pop” – Noisey

“Shape shifting sorta punk.” – The FADER

“Visionary and forward thinking” –  i-D

The new album from The Garden, Haha, is out now on Burger/Epitaph Records. This is the West Coast duo’s follow up to their debut LP The Life and Times of a Paperclip. CD and vinyl copies available at http://found.ee/thegardenhahastorewith digital at iTunes http://found.ee/thegardenhaha.

Listen to ‘Haha’ at Bandcamp now

The duo represent a youthful punk scene in California with their DIY principles, thrift store-cum-glam fashion style and a list of pick ’n’ mix influences that stretch far beyond The Minutemen. Their minimalist two-piece bass and drums essence is dirty, raw and immediate, with a visceral live element. They strip off everything unnecessary about modern punk and get straight to the heart of it, consistently defying categorization and breaking new ground with their ‘Vada Vada*’ philosophy.

Fact is, The Garden – aka Wyatt and Fletcher Shears – don’t care what you think. They are the auditory invaders of the new world; borderless, informed and decentralized – Haha offers a glimpse into their breakbeat-propelled world of electro-punk anarchy. Catch The Garden live during their European tour in October and November. Find the full list with confirmed dates below.
