NEW SINGLE ‘THE ANSWER’ OUT FRIDAY 24th JULY
Confirmed for XFM X-Posure Live show at The Barfly on August 4th
“A hedonistic reminder of the golden early-noughties indie boom led by The Strokes and The Vines.” – NME
“Determined to stir things up, however brash their delivery might be and however many people might end up getting hurt.” – DIY
“Rock ‘n’ roll with bundles of untapped potential.” – Rock Sound
VANT have enjoyed an incredible introduction with shows as support to the likes of Royal Blood and Hinds, as well as receiving extensive airplay from BBC Radio 1, XFM and 6Music for their debut tracks ‘Parasite’ and ‘Do You Know Me?’. Their next move comes with the new single ‘The Answer’ which impacts on August 21st and is available to download and stream from July 24th.
‘The Answer’ is an onslaught of fiery dynamics and garage rock attitude. It maintains the chaotically controlled spirit of VANT’s previous releases, but also takes a different approach with a powerful instrumental intro that still gives vocalist/guitarist Mattie Vant’s musical arrangement time to flourish
Lyrically, ‘The Answer’ deals with how the media portrayal of an atrocity can influence public and therefore governmental opinion. It also questions the UK’s current position within global politics.
VANT have also recently confirmed that they’ll play XFM’s X-Posure Live show at London’s Barfly on August 4th. The bill also features Kagoule and Peluché.
Having recently played The Great Escape, Dot To Dot and Calling Festival, VANT’s summer festival dates continue withReading, Leeds, Secret Garden Party, Y Not, Boardmasters and Bingley Live.
