Debut single ‘Gut Wrench’ out now

“A touch of Blur’s melodic mastery… Hotly tipped” The Times
Having unveiled their debut single ‘Gut Wrench’ last month, Pink Film marked their entry as one of the UK’s most exciting new bands. Energising live shows followed at The Great Escape Festival – where Xfm’s John Kennedy saw them and promptly made them his ‘Hot Pick’ – as well as support slots with Spring King and Flesh.
As the London four-piece ready their next release, we are pleased to share the video for ‘Gut Wrench’.
Pink Film cut a pretty arresting figure as a quartet; boundlessly infectious energy, hooks for days and a penchant for silk pyjamas.
Having been handpicked to support Hinds (FKA Deers) no less than three times, Pink Film have been busy touring venues across London bringing their own brand of British psychedelia, complete with singer Ziyad Al-Samman’s washed-out harmonies and scuzzy guitars.
‘Gut Wrench’ was produced by Donald Clark (The Knife, Muse), mastered by Mandy Parnell (Bjork, The XX, Aphex Twin) and recorded at London’s famous Strongroom studios.
Pink Film are Ziyad Al-Samman (singer/guitar), Frank Styles (bass), Laurence Hammerton (guitar) and Danny Brooks (drums).
