‘Low Tide’ is the debut single from the band’s forthcoming EP titled ‘Shimmer & Shade’. The trio may be new on the scene, but their exuberant debut offering bodes for an exciting future. ‘Low Tide’ is pure, unadulterated beach music, boasting confident, tantalizing leads vocals, which meet 80s-style, nostalgic guitar riffs to create the ultimate summer anthem.
Based in Cardiff, Wales – ‘XY&O’ comprises of producer Skip Curtis on vocals and production, joined by Tudor Davies on keys and programming, and Nick Kelly on guitar. ‘XY&O’ was born when Skip and Tudor entered the studio aiming to recreate the “optimistic light of summer that can so often turn dark”. Skip’s ambient, poppy vocals can’t help but take the listener to a transcendent reality, with Nick’s powerful, yet subtle, guitar riff’s appealing to the nostalgic heart strings of the many.
The trio’s debut EP ‘Shimmer + Shade’ is set for release this summer.
