‘Fern’ is an elegant and expansive track, a perfect entry point into Lisa Alma’s dreamy pop universe evocative of the golden hour before sunset. ‘Man’ is a minimal but wholly mesmerizing combination of chilled synths, atmospheric glitches and serene keyboard twinkles set off by Alma’s gorgeous falsetto, while ‘Fine’ continues in the vein of a fleeting glimpse into a rich and alluring world of natural delights and sensations guided by Alma’s exquisite vocals.
Working and living as an artist in Copenhagen, Lisa Alma’s endeavours in performance art and photography give her music a sense of multiplicity, allowing her to draw on the emotions and subtleties of other mediums to imbue her music with a sense of mesmerizing visual power. “When I make music, I can combine all sorts of artistic expressions into one output,” she says.
