On the eve of Shake Shake Go’s debut EP, the London based five-piece are pleased to confirm a string of UK shows including London’s Hoxton Bar & Kitchen.
‘England Skies’- the title track from their forthcoming EP (due March 9th) has rapidly clocked up over 2.5 million streams on Spotify. Listen to it here.
The band are also pleased to share a new acoustic video for ‘England Skies’ – watch it here.
Comprised of four tracks, the EP showcases the quintet’s uplifting melodies, delicate percussion and spirited camaraderie, all underpinned by singer Poppy’s compelling vocals that grant the music a gentle beauty.
The cornerstones of Shake Shake Go – Poppy and guitarist Marc – met whilst studying in London. Originally from Wales, Poppy’s velvet–coated vocals, incredible for her young age, quickly found the ears of Marc who was looking for the perfect voice to embody his music. They started writing together immediately, teamed up with three like-minded musicians and the band was born.
Their blend of folk-pop has seen them win fans in the likes of James Blunt, Rodrigo y Gabriela and Dan Croll – all of whom they have supported. Their own headline show at London’s Slaughtered Lamb last month was a rip-roaring packed-out success.
