For fans of: The Radio Dept., Yuck, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Alvvays, Mogwai

Release Date: March 30, 2015 on Ear To Ear Records
On March 30, Tape Runs Out will release their debut double A-side single ‘Friends’ through UK label Ear to Ear Records.
The band’s debut LP is expected in autumn 2015.
Tape Runs Out unashamedly display their edgy, refreshing pop-mindedness in these two tracks, with a potent elixir of guitars, hooks and the familiar soft hush of early 90s male vocals. This release includes the hallmark “Friends”, a layered jangle anthem sure to inspire dreaming and gazing, and the stand-out track “Flowers” is reminiscent of ‘Rock Action’ era Mogwai on ecstacy with a remarkable Cure-laced cool-down effect.
About Tape Runs Out: One of the most exciting bands to come out of Cambridge in recent times, Tape Runs Out have being enthralling audiences around England for the past couple of years. Although they have been variously described as indie, shoegaze, dream pop and electronica but they certainly borrow elements from these genres, they have carved out their own sound by blending cleverly crafted melodies, melancholic ambience and dreamy reverb-tinged rhythms. Headed by Liam Goodrum-Bell, Tape Runs Out’s music is infectious with a modern and unique twist, bucking stereotypical trends with songs to be savored by those who like to ‘feel’ and absorb the music, as well as the most intricate and scrupulous music lovers.

About Ear to Ear Records: Founded in Wales in 2013, the label specialises in dream pop, shoegaze, and indie rock. Originally beginning with local bands, such as Lights That Change and Indigo Sky, it soon grew to include several bands from Europe/ North America, such as Ummagma and Sounds of Sputnik.  Ear to Ear recently released Sounds of Sputnik’s debut LP ‘New Born’ feat. Ummagma and Graham Bonnar (Swervedriver, Brian Jonestown Massacre), which won them a 2014 Russian Indie Music Award, in addition to releases by Lights That Change, Indigo Sky and Blood Lips. On Feb. 11 they release the “Revolution – The Shoegaze Revival” compilation with backing from several heavy hitters from shoegaze’s first wave. Creation Records co-founder Joe Foster explains,  “This is a new comp with the best of the world shoegaze/magical psychpoppy’s REBIRTH…. Ear To Ear Records are a new Welsh/Canadian label in the spirit of Creation and 4AD and just as obsessed as that! 30 bands from 16 countries worldwide…an unprecedented spread of hope and art”
