At the end of November we had the pleasure in attending the second NMTB show since its return last year in Hereford at The Jailhouse (prior to our favourite local venue closing it’s doors at New Year). NMTB hosted what can only be described as the loudest evening, with an insane line up consisting of CHEW, Cassandra, Weathered Hands, Plane Crasher and the mighty God Damn, who are no strangers to the Hereford/Worcester shows, having recently played a Surprise Attacks night over at The Firefly.
The array of local support bought in a respectable crowd, Chew, Cassandra and Weathered Hands united the crowd with their talent and captivating live sets, followed by Plane Crasher battling for loudest band of the evening with their renowned rambunctious ways and engaging set. Mixing their punk core with empowering grungy heaviness and the filthiest bass- hooks we know. The abrasive, heavy and ear melting duo God Damn headlined the evenings proceedings and proved an unstoppable force on the night. The pair, which are working incredibly hard and hitting all the right notes with fans and within the industry, showcased the best of their live abilities by creating a flawless and fierce set. Crushing Hereford with their amalgamating, intense wall of sound, their fuzzy, dirty riffs, those delectable vocals and bounteous drum beats like no other. These two are an act you could never grow tiresome of.
Not only did NMTB create the ideal line up but yet again they hosted another exceptional night of live music and talent on our doorstep. With the demise of their most suited venue for their nights, we hope we are to hear more from the excellent Herefordian promoters.
