tj07Tigers Jaw Announce Pre- Order for New Album Charmer
Out 6.3.14 via Run For Cover Records

New Track “Slow Come On” Currently Streaming
via AV Club

Tigers Jaw are back in a big way.  Plagued by rumors about a shaky future for the Scranton, Pennsylvania indie-rock band, the last month has firmly proven that Tigers Jaw never had any intention of calling it day.  With news of a new third studio full-length Charmer, out on Run For Cover Records on June 3rd, and several weeks of touring announced including a run with Pity Sex and a full US tour with Touché Amoré and Dads, this summer is shaping up to be very busy for the band (all tour dates below).

Today Tigers Jaw shared a new track from the record at AV Club.  Titled “Slow Come On”, the site hailed the new track, saying “Charmer swims in hooks, and ‘Slow Come On’ is no exception. Rollicking drum rolls give way to chugging melodies, displaying that any turmoil experienced in the past year is only fodder for Collins and Walsh to make each track hit that much harder.”

On their third studio full-length, Charmer, Tigers Jaw went into the legendary Studio 4 in Conshohocken, PA with Will Yip (Title Fight, Circa Survive, La Dispute) to record 11 new tracks and re-record the song “Distress Signal” from Run For Cover’s 2011 Mixed Signals compilation.  Two of the tracks on Charmer appeared in late 2013 on the Hum/Cool 7″ on Run For Cover Records.  Charmer is available for pre-order today at Run For Cover Records, in Germany at FinestVinyl, and in Japan at Ice Grills Records.

Known for their undeniably down-to-earth charm, Tigers Jaw somehow manages to be part Fleetwood Mac, part Saves the Day, working the odd-sounding combination to their full advantage.  With their boy-girl harmonies, chunky guitars and shimmering organs, it’s tough not to immediately feel the impact of their music and even more difficult to suppress the urge to sing along.
