Current US Tour Dates Through May

Loom, the debut full-length from Gainesville, FL post-hardcore quintet Frameworks is streaming in full on Stereogum this week in advance of its’ April 29 release date on Topshelf Records. Recorded by Jack Shirley (Deafheaven, Joyce Manor, Comadre) in his Atomic Garden Studios in San Francisco, the record sees Frameworks sprawling into more experimental territory.  On Loom, Frameworks expand beyond their post-hardcore roots to create a record which is brightly evocative, emotional, overwhelmingly gorgeous and one that sees the band genre-bending to carve out space for what they manage to create in  Loom‘s 11 tracks.

Formed in Gainesville in 2011, Frameworks first gained notice with their early 2013 Small Victories EP on 13th Floor Records.  A split release with Kittyhawk, Prawn and Droughts later that year drew more attention to the band who somehow manage to create music that exists where Explosions in the Sky and Fucked Up meet.  The band is currently on tour with Gates and Tiny Moving Parts, and will tour with Old Gray in May (all tour dates below).

Recent Praise for Frameworks Loom:

“”Loom” gives off impending doom, cramming in three or four code-red emergency drills into about two and a half minutes.” –Pitchfork

“Frameworks reinforces its sonic violence with a complex rhythmic undercurrent and tops it off with a blistering guitar sheen.” –Stereogum

“If you long for the days of bands like pg. 99 and City of Caterpillar, you might dig Frameworks. The Gainesville, FL band combines the earnest urgency of your favorite screamo bands of yesteryear with a modern hardcore twist.” –Noisey

“Gainesvile, Florida’s Frameworks aren’t on your radar.  If you’re into stuff like Slint and Sincebyman, well, they should be on your radar… Loom sounds massive” –Decibel
